Discounts

Going to see the latest blockbuster at the local cinema is a great way of socializing and filling up an evening with your friends, but if you are a frequent visitor to the cinema you will realize that it’s not that cheap, especially after throwing in the pick ‘n mix and expensive drinks.  So in this post we will be concentrating on how to see the latest films for less.

Most cinemas accept an NUS card or a valid student card which qualifies you for a student rate, the savings can vary from cinema to cinema.  So if you’re a student, make sure you have your card with you.

Orange Wednesday has become an exceptionally popular promotion by the Orange mobile phone network, if you have an Orange mobile phone, just text 241 and you instantly receive a code which will allow you to receive a free ticket when bought with a full priced tickets.

As I mentioned earlier, the sweets and drinks can push up the cost of a cinema visit greatly, so be sensible and get your goodies from a local supermarket or shop for a fraction of the price.  If your worried about the cinema frowning upon this, simply put them in a handbag or any bag.

If you follow these steps, you can make your cinema trip much less of a hit on your wallet.
